My daily walk was interesting. It was a little chilly out but overall the temperature felt good. It had rained the night before and the wind was unusually strong and I hadn't notice how strong until I was in the neighborhood. As I strolled through the neighborhood I saw all the tree branches that were blown off the trees. There was much debris and a little bird's nest was compromised by the wind. I'm glad there were no eggs in the nest.
My strides where short for I wanted to admire everything around me. I almost wished I had my camera with me. Next time I'll bring it with me. I wanted to take picture of everything that interest me. I saw some beautiful yellow leaves that had been blown away and the juxtaposition on the ground made them so interesting. The creek was especially interesting because the water level was very low. That would be the interesting part since it had rained the night before, you figured it would be overflowing with rain water but it wasn't.
Then I saw that the over towering magnolia trees were in bloom. It was such a beautiful sight. These trees are so beautiful when they are in bloom but my goodness do they smell bad as the flowers decompose. The state tree in North Carolina is the Magnolia. They are in every corner and yard you come by.
The kids were playing in the park and riding their bikes. Some of them were eating the wild berries that grow in the surrounding area. They were playing some kind of game, who can find the next ripen berry. You can hear them from afar "I found a red one." It was funny.
I walk for about two miles. It takes me half a mile to get to Brentwood Park and another mile to walk around the park, then another half mile to get back home. These walks help me clear my mind and it helps me relax.

Brentwood Park
I don't know if y'all find this interesting but it helps me put my random thought on paper (blog). Next time I'll take my camera and this way you can enjoy the beauty that is my neighborhood.
